Kuykendall, Tanksley to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kuykendall of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Joy Kuykendall, to Jordan Lane Tanksley, son of Tim and Reatha Tanksley of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Athens Bible School and a 2000 graduate of Athens State University. She is employed with MTS, Incorporated in Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendrix of Huntsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elam Kuykendall of Athens.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2001 graduate of The University of Alabama. He is employed with Tanksley Machine and Tool, Inc. in Decatur. He is the grandson of Dorothy Lake of Hartselle and the late Harold Lake, Hazel Tanksley of Decatur and the late Harley Tanksley.
The wedding will be held May 15 at the Huntsville Museum of Art.
Anniversaries
Whipples celebrate 25th anniversary
Richard and Joyce Whipple of Eva celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Feb. 8 with a reception at the Oden Ridge Community Center. They were married Feb. 2, 1979 in Huntsville. They have one daughter, Courtney Morgan, and a son-in-law, Erik Morgan.
