Funeral for Martha Atkins Widner Massey, 58, of Hartselle was Sunday, Jan. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Equator Black and James Gary Peebles officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Massey died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Dec. 27, 1945, in Morgan County to Edward Junior Atkins and Annie Ruth Crow Atkins. She was a member of Pine Street Independent Baptist Church in Falkville.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Gerald Massey of Hartselle; one son, Thomas Newton Widner of Hartselle; two daughters, Jamie Faye Lavigne of Westland, Mich. and Christy Ann Groves of Somerville; her mother, Annie Ruth Atkins of Hartselle; two brothers, David Atkins of Cullman and Eddie Atkins of Hartselle; two sisters, Mary Ann Taylor of Somerville and Tommie Joyce Clark of Neel; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews.
