Funeral for John Keith Day, 34, of Andrews, NC, was Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Chase officiating.
Burial was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in Bethel Hill Baptist Church with Ivie Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Day died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, in a Murphy hospital in Andrews. He was a native of Pontiac, Mich. He was a truck driver with the City of Andrews and part-time employee at Elsie's Steak and Seafood. He was a part-time student at Tri-County Community College in Murphy, N.C.
He is survived by his father, John L. Day of Andrews, NC; his mother, Janie Sue Byford Day of Hartselle; one half-sister, Janet Gibson of Waynesville, N.C.; two half-brothers, Michael Smallwood of Hartselle and Gregory Lynn Day of Franklin, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were John Anderson, Brian Darcy, Sean Bryson, Chico Keith Gillespie, Tony Postell and Morgan Lunsford.
Honorary pallbearers were Timothy Michael, Whitney Barnett, Allen Davis, Ryan O'Donovan, Skip Allen and Gary Frazier.
