Funeral for Annie Bert Ward, 81, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dwight Lang officiating.
Burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born March 8, 1922, in Lawrence County to Jake Jett and Ider Nelms Jett. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Lon's Quality Foods in Hartselle. She was a Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent at Sparkman Elementary School. She was the widow of Jimmie C. "Cecil" Ward and the mother of the late Margaret Ann Ward Russell.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ward Hopper and Mary Sue Ward Burns, both of Hartselle; four brothers, John Jett and Bill Jett, both of Nashville, Tenn., Alfred Jett of Chicago, Ill., and Gene Jett of Huntsville; three sisters, Helen Smith of Madison and Louise Martin and Edith Gutherie, both of Smyrna, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Charlotte Knox Dryer, Mary Beth Knox Sawyer, Greg Hopper, Anthony Hopper; and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Greg Hopper, Anthony Hopper, Shane Sawyer, Todd Dryer, Eric Dryer, and Dwayne Lauderdale.
