Doyce E. Murphy Maxwell

Funeral for Doyce E. Murphy Maxwell, 65, of Hartselle was Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Pearl Jenkins and Stanley Reeves officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Maxwell died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1938, in Morgan County to James Carl Murphy and Goldie Lucille Lemley Murphy. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and won many Decatur Daily contests. She also enjoyed fishing and camping and was a charter member of Hickory Hills Community Church. She was the sister of the late James Donald Murphy.
She is survived by her husband, Aclin Maxwell of Hartselle; two sons, Anthony Carl Maxwell and Johnny Ray Maxwell, both of Somerville; one daughter, Shelby Ann Farrow of Hartselle; one brother, Ray Murphy of Hartselle; four sisters, Carolyn Foreman of Decatur, Judy Dunn of Moulton and Kathy Taylor and Vickie Eaton, both of Somerville; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
