Howell, Owen to wed Nov. 29
Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Wayne Howell of Nashville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lesley Ann Howell, to James Brandon Owen, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Owen, Jr. of Cross Plains, Tenn.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of The Harpeth Hall School in Nashville and a 2002 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital in Nashville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Paul Fowler of Hartselle, Mrs. Joseph Benton Howell of Nashville and the late Mr. Howell.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of East Robertson High School in Cross Plains and a 2002 graduate of Belmont University Graduate School of Business. He is currently employed with the Belmont University Athletic Department. He is the grandson of Rev. and Mrs. James William Owen of Nashville, and Peggy Violett of Adairville, Ky. He is the great grandson of Margaret Burchett of Adairville, Ky.
The wedding will be held Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Nashville.
Porch, Bailey to wed Oct. 25
Mr. Martin Porch of Decatur and Mrs. Glynice Crow of Cullman announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Leigh Porch of Cullman, to Matthew Lee Bailey of Hanceville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Tammie Bailey of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is currently attending Wallace State College and pursuing an associate's degree in nursing. She is employed by Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham as an LPN. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Porch of Huntsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy Humphrey.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Brewer High School and a 2002 graduate of Wallace State College with an associates degree in business management. He is employed by Southern Wire in Birmingham as a regional sales manager. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Shelton of Hanceville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bailey of Baileyton.
The wedding will be held Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. at Shelton Grove Baptist Church in Hanceville.
Halls celebrate 60th anniversary
Preston and Ruby Hall of Hartselle celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 25, 2003. They are the parents of Preston Hall, Jr., Alton Hall, Tim Hall and Sally Murphy. They have 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
