Funeral for Bernice Boyd Williams, 84, of Birmingham was Monday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel.
Burial was in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Williams died Thursday, July 3, 2003.
She received her bachelor's degree from Birmingham Southern College where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After receiving her master's and doctorate's degrees, she was an instructor of mathematics at Auburn University. She was a lifetime member of the Garden Club of Alabama, Inc., the Wayside Garden Club, and the North American Blue Birds Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Lynn Williams; two grandchildren, Kelly Williams Sawtelle and Kristy Williams; one brother, J.L. Boyd; and two great grandchildren, Saigely and Kibryn Sawtelle.
