Funeral for Ellis M. Hill, 83, of Falkville was Saturday, June 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Milton Garrison and Gary Dutton officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Hill died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at his residence. He was born April 22, 1920, in Walker County to Stephen P. Hill and Dovie A. Goodwin Hill. He was a retired general plant foreman at Wayne Poultry Co. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of Pine Street Independent Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Banks Hill of Falkville; two daughters, Gail Hill Hopper and Dorris Hill Edmonson, both of Falkville; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Hopper, Brad Edmonson, Nathan Edmonson, Blaine Edmonson, Blain Mooney and Joe Dutton.
