Funeral for James Aubra Orr, 81, of Decatur was Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Daniel Holmes and Calvin Westmoreland officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Orr died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was retired from Morton Thiokol as a maker-operator. He was a charter member of the Pattillo Street Church of God and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Evalene Orr of Somerville; two sons, Darryl Orr and Gwen Orr, both of Somerville; one foster son, Joe MacDonald of Tennessee; two daughters, Janice Vinson of Decatur and Retha Denney of Arab; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Vinson, Jonathan Denney, Justin Orr, Chris Crouo, Daniel Massey and Christian Jacobs.
Honorary pallbearers were great grandsons, Kevin Vinson and Austin Orr.
