Hartselle HPD joins in Special Olympic drive

The Hartselle Police Department, along with law enforcement throughout Morgan County, is asking for the community's assistance in raising money for the Morgan County Special Olympics.
Hundreds of children and adults in Morgan County with mental retardation participate in this annual event. The HPD sponsors track and fields events, swimming, bowling, basketball, volleyball, and other events year round. T-shirts may be purchased for $10.
The Morgan County Torch Run will be held Saturday, May 3 beginning at 9 a.m. at Decatur City Hall to raise funds for local Special Olympics. Runners will travel from Decatur City Hall to Sparkman Park in Hartselle where lunch will be provided by Woodman of the World.

Also, "Cops and Lobsters" will be held at Red Lobster in Decatur on March 11 beginning at 11 a.m.
Red Lobster will donate all tips that day to the Torch Run fund and Special Olympics.
