Funeral for Gafton Ryan, 74, of Falkville was Monday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. at Gandy's Cove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Kinney officiating.
Burial was in Cook Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Ryan died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at his residence. A native of Morgan County, he was a member of Gandy's Cove United Methodist Church. He worked for the Morgan County Commission for 34 years, retiring as District 3 foreman. He was the widower of Alma Jean Ryan and the brother of the late Truman Ryan, Auburn "Cotton" Ryan, Afton Ryan and Ezell Stewart.
He is survived by one daughter, Ramona Ryan of Falkville; four sisters, LouEtta Kinney, Datchel Holmes and Juanita Burdick, all of Falkville and Gaynell Ryan of Cullman; and one grandson, Heath Ryan of Falkville.
Pallbearers were Gordon Wood, Steven Ziaja, Charles Wood, Austin Hicks, Robert Jordan, Wayne Young and Steven McCarley.
