Nick Johnston, Hartselle Enquirer
DANVILLE – For the third time in two weeks, the Hartselle Tigers and Brewer Patriots squared off against each other.
For the third time in the same period, Hartselle walked off the floor with a win.
The Tigers advanced to the second round of the Morgan County Tournament with a 61-52 win over rival Brewer.
Hartselle takes on Danville Friday night following Falkville and West Morgan at 6:30 p.m. The winner of those two games will play for the Morgan County Championship at 8 p.m. Saturday.

First Round
Neither team had much breathing room from the other until late in the first half.
Brewer led just 19-18 late in the first quarter, but outscored Hartselle 13-2 during the next eight minutes to take a 32-20 lead with 2:19 remaining in the first half.
After a fiery speech by Hartselle head coach Johnny Berry during a time out, the Tigers cut the deficit in half by intermission.
Tyler Reeves then arrived.
Reeves hit five three pointers for the game but four crucial ones in the second half to help the Tigers to a 47-45 lead. Reeves ended the night with a team-high 17 points.
After his three pointer gave Hartselle that two-point advantage, the Tigers never looked back.
Marlon Chapman was the only other Tiger in double figures with 12 points, while Gary Speegle and Jason Crowe each had eight. Speegle pulled down five rebounds.
Hartselle's Zac Ward was held well below his scoring average, but still managed seven points and 11 rebounds.
The Patriots were led by Brett Mooneyham, who scored a game-high 21 points. Lemont Jackson added 10 along with three rebounds.
Dustin Scott scored six points, Jeremy Way and Matt Eslick both had three, while Samuel Mason and Robert Shelton chipped in two apiece.
