Kyker deporting to Persian Gulf

Lance Corporal Jeffrey Kyker, son of Mary and Jerry Kyker of Hartselle, will be deporting from Marine Corp Air Station New River at Jacksonville, N.C. enroute to Persian Gulf Region on Jan. 12.
LcPl Kyker has been in the United States Marines since September, 2001. He underwent training at Parris Island, S.C., Camp Lejune, N.C., Pensacola Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. and North Island Naval Station in San Diego, Ca.
He arrived at Marine Corps Air Station in New River in November, 2002.
Kyker, a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School, is the grandson of the late Gene Kyker and Annie Grace Kyker, the late Theodore Prince and Eleanore Prince of Massey.
LcPl Kyker expects to be in the Persian Gulf area for six-eight months.
