Funeral for Vernell James Stinson, 74, of Hanceville, formerly of Morgan County, was Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Livingston Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Nolen Gray officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Hanceville Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Stinson died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at his residence. A native of Morgan County, he was a retired construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Stinson of Hanceville; five stepsons, Larry McClung of Oden Ridge, David Dover of Cullman, Greg Dover of Hanceville, Keith Dover of Vinemont and Larry Dover of Garden City; three stepdaughters, Ruth Baker and Betty Hill, both of Oden Ridge, and Deborah Drinkard of Hanceville; two brothers, Bud Stinson of Cullman and Eddie Stinson of Decatur; three sisters, Janette Digman and Shirley Shelton, both of Cullman and Mildred Jones of Oden Ridge; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
