Funeral for Olon W. Hill, 80, of Danville was Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joey Coots and Greg Barbee officiating.
A military graveside service was held in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Hill died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at his residence. A native of Lawrence County, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Evie Asherbranner. Hill and the brother of the late Bernard "Pinkie" Hill, Eldon Hill and Wilma Lowery. He was retired from Wolverine Tube, where he worked as a set-up man.
He is survived by two sons, Timothy O. Hill and Tracy L. Hill, both of Danville; two daughters, Rebecca Bradford of Hartselle and Regina Pepper of Falkville; one brother, Clarence Junior Hill of Trinity; one sister, Betty Lou Crowe of Danville; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews.
