Wildlife course offered

If you're a person who loves the outdoors, you'll want to make plans to attend the 2003 Master Wildlifer shortcourse.
The Master Wildlifer shortcourse is intended for landowners, land managers, hunters and others who are interested in integrating wildlife considerations into their land use and management activities.
The Master Wildlifer shortcourse will be broadcast life via satellite and delivered to downlink sites across Alabama and the Southeast in seven three-hour sessions from Feb. 4 – March 18, 2003. An in-depth 400-plus page reference manual covering each session will be provided to those viewing the shortcourse.
Speakers' presentation notes for each session will also be provided.
Registrants will receive a 400-plus page notebook with chapters on each topic and speaker's notes for each presentation. Persons completing five of the seven sessions will receive a Certificate and a Master Wildlifer cap. Refreshments will be provided each evening. The deadline for early registration is Jan. 14, 2003. The late registration fee will be accepted at the door, but participants are encouraged to register early to ensure having a seat and workshop materials available.
Registration fees are: all sessions – individual $80. couples/family members $115. (One copy of notebook materials). Late registrations (all sessions) individual $100. Couples/family members $135. Single sessions (speaker's notes only) Individual $15. (Can purchase notebook for $40).
Nationally known wildlife and natural resource experts from across the Southeast will present the following sessions:
Master Wildlifer is sponsored in Alabama by the Private Forest Management Team, School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, Auburn University, Alabama Wildlife Federation, Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Education Subcommittee of Alabama's Sustainable Forestry Initiative and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
