Pevahouse, Carlile to wed
Ronald Pevahouse of Hartselle and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Switzer of Nevada announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Richelle Pevahouse of Hartselle, to Dr. Jim Carlile, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Carlile Sr. of Brantley.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Sartin of Hartselle, the late Kathryn Sartin, Mrs. Alta Pevahouse of Hartselle, and the late William C. Pevahouse.
She is a graduate of Hartselle High School and attended Calhoun Community College. She is employed by Solvay Fluoropolymers in Decatur.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Carlile of Alba and the late Mr. and Mrs. William E. Powell of Brantley.
He is a graduate of Brantley High School and Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, and mathematics. He received a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine where he completed his residency in pediatrics.
He is a practicing pediatrician in Decatur.
The couple will be married in a private ceremony Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m. in Nashville.
