Cara Beth Randolph of Danville and Bradley Skeggs Gilchrist of Huntsville were wed Sept. 7, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church of Decatur.
Vandon Windsor officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Karen Randolph of Danville. The groom is the son of Skeggs and Francine Gilchrist of Somerville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal candlelight silk georgette gown accented with pearls and rhinestones. Designed with a molded bodice richly embellished with pearl, studded embroidery, the strapless gown featured a band of rhinestone studded pearls at the bustline and the waist. The soft skirt of georgette swept into a chapel-length train. Her veil of imported French tulle' was scattered with crystals and held by a silver rhinestone and pearl bridal tiara.
Michelle Sharp Randolph of Danville was matron of honor and Jennifer Glenn of Danville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Wood Sharpe of Gadsden, Jill Cox Hamilton of Tennessee and Paige Livingston Blackwood of Danville. Flower girl was Tayiah Hamilton of Tennessee.
The groom's father was best man and Grant Gilchrist, the groom's brother, of Frederick, Ga. served as groomsman. Ushers were Brian Randolph and Kurt Randolph, the bride's brothers, of Danville; Matthew Slate of Huntsville and Andy Johnson of Somerville.
Music was provided by the Hartselle High School "Performers," under the direction of Wanda Thompson. Dana Speegle was soloist, accompanied by Connie Speegle.
A reception was held at the Bennett-McEntire home immediately following the ceremony.
Assisting with the reception were Ross Railey, director; Brooke Wallace and Jessica Wallace, both of Neel, at the bride's table; and Karen Childers, Heather Childers and Jenae Windsor.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Huntsville.
