Calvin Quattlebaum

A graveside service for Calvin Quattlebaum, 71, of Luverne was Monday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. at Lebanon Cemetery in Falkville with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating.
Mr. Quattlebaum died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at his residence. A native of Morgan County, he served in the U.S. Air Force on active duty for 28 years as a meteorologist. He was a senior master sergeant. He retired with an honorable discharge in 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Quattlebaum of Luverne; one son, Calvin D. Quattlebaum of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three daughters, Lurlene Gordey and Arta K. Quattlebaum both of Panama City, Fla. and Paula Quattlebaum of Snead, Fla.; one sister, Mazie Winsett of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hank Quattlebaum, Tony Kelso, Jerry Kelly, Mike Fitzgerald, Arta Quattlebaum and Bobby Rhoades.
