Two join Enquirer staff

Two new staff members have joined the Hartselle Enquirer's editorial department.
Nick Johnston joined the Enquirer as its new sports editor and Tracy Brady is the Enquirer's new staff writer.
"We're excited to welcome Nick and Tracy to our staff," Publisher and Editor Leada DeVaney said. "They bring with them a wealth of knowledge and excitement and we're looking forward to what they can bring to our readers."
Johnston, is the former sports editor at the Blount Countian. He also worked as a sports writer at the Durant Daily Democrat. At the Democrat, Johnston earned the 2001 Carl Rogan Award for Best Sports Feature Story and also earned awards for his sports columns and photographs.
He and his wife, Autumn, live in Cullman.
Brady comes to the Enquirer from its sister paper, Madison County Record, where she was a staff writer. She earned the Alabama Press Association's first place award for feature writing in this year's contest.
She and her fianc, John, are planning an October wedding.
