Funeral for Beulah Olene Slater Mays, 83, of Hartselle was Friday, July 12, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. WG Henry, Harold Thompson and W.L. Cole officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Mays died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Summerford Nursing Home. A native of Morgan County, she was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was the widow of Olin Slater Sr. and Martin G. Mays and was the mother of the late Olin D. Slater Jr. and stepmother of the late Marlene Moon.
She is survived by one daughter, Dana Lynn Crow of Hartselle; two stepsons, Kenneth Mays of Milledgeville, Ga. and Michael D. Mays of Stockbridge, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Cheryl McDonald of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe Mack Crow, Tim Crow, Charlie King, Chris Slater, Larry Slater, Gus Slater and Hunter King.
