Howard Charles 'Pop' Keel

Funeral for Howard Charles "Pop" Keel, 79, of Hartselle was Monday, June 17, at 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Brown and Randy Ashley officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Keel died Saturday, June 15, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. A native of Morgan County, he was a veteran of World War II and member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Falkville. He retired from Denbo Iron &Metal in Decatur, where he was a crane operator.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Keel of Hartselle; two sons, Dewain Keel of Lacey's Spring and Doug Keel of Hartselle; three daughters, Fay Dutton, Teresa Lackey and Kasonyia Briggs, all of Hartselle; one sister, Hazel Hanners of Hartselle; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Dutton, Chase Keel, Joey Jenkins, Jeremy Patterson, Gerald Yeager and Hopson Ward Jr.
