KKK, pagans net Hartselle some press

Funeral for Leon Nelson, 71, of Decatur was Wednesday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.L. Buckner officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Nelson died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at his residence. A native of Morgan County, he worked as a truck driver for Decatur Sanitation Department for 33 years. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Hartselle. He was the father of the late Ricky Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Nelson of Decatur; five sons, Steve Nelson, Scott Nelson and Tim Nelson, all of Somerville, Terry Nelson of Hartselle and Randy Nelson of Decatur; one daughter, Merita Nelson of Nashville; one sister, Bernice Satterfield of Somerville; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were H.M. Henderson, Michael Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Anthony French, Brian Nelson and Earl Evans.
