Funeral for Violet Cook, 81, of Hartselle was Wednesday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Brown officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Cook died Monday, May 20, 2002 at Falkville Healthcare Center. She retired from Pineview Hospital in Hartselle where she was employed as a housekeeper. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Billy H. Cook of Decatur; one daughter, June Cook Barnes of Hartselle; three brothers, William O. Terry Jr. of Oak Ridge, David M. Terry of Tanner and Thurman E. Terry of Decatur; one sister, Martha Mae Terry Singleton of Decatur; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ronald Spahr, Shaun Berryhill, Roger Lacy, Jock Barnes Sr., Jeremy Barnes and Brian Woeber.
