Funeral for Cora Beatrice Brindley, 83, of Somerville was Friday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Pines Baptist Church with the Revs. Glen Smallwood and Harvel Smith officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Brindley died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Crestwood Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, she was a member of Pines Baptist Church and a founding member of the Friends Helping Friends organization. She also was a member of the Brindley International Historical Foundation. She was the widow of Bill Brindley.
He is survived by our sons, Vann Brindley of Valhermoso Springs, Harold Brindley, George Brindley and Jimmy "France" Brindley, all of Oden Ridge; two daughters, Cora Vaughn of Decatur and Mary Wimbs of Somerville; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and two great grandchildren survive her.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
