9-10 year-olds get season
off to blistering start
The 9-10 year-old boys got their baseball season under way with the whole slate fighting to rise to the top.
A four-run third-inning performance provided the margin of victory for the Bulls.
Logan Cain took the win for the Bulls, striking out seven and allowing no hits. He walked five.
Will Tiffin got the pitching loss in three innings. He was followed on the mound by Sam Fleishman and Will Lang.

The Indians skinned the Tigers early with four runs in the first, three in the second and two in the third. The Tigers tried to claw their way back into the game with a three-run rally in the fourth.
Jared Johnson took the pitching win in two innings. Robby Reece and Ryan Joy followed Johnson in relief.
Ben Teichmiller took the loss in four innings. He struck out five, but walked nine.

The Reds stayed undefeated with a five-run response to a game-tying run by the Jays.

The Giants overcame a five-run first inning by the Red Sox with three first-inning runs of their own, paired with a lone run in the fourth and a second trio in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Chance Partlow was tagged with the loss after releaving Ethan Rose. Rose fanned 14 batters in six innings on the mound after replacing Hunter McCaghren who replaced starter Will Swann.
